About me

An Iraqi Plymouth-based graphic designer, illustrating and designing art that is inspired by many things on my mind that I think of. I’m the owner of Iraqi brand lioandess, illustrating designs to be printed on apparel. My latest designs were inspired by Iraqi culture and its civilised history- Mesopotamia. Some designs inspired by the jewellery (leaf necklace) worn by the ancient Queen Puabi of Ur. Another design named as “southern chin tattoo” inspired by old Iraqi grandmothers who had their chin tattooed mainly being located in the south of Iraq (near the marshes). I love reviving the culture of Iraq through designs- for them to be able to be printed and worn with confidence by Iraqi youth all over the world. I enjoy designing for many things, especially my country where I’m able to raise awareness, educate and protest about events that are happening!
